
The Wilds is North America's largest wildlife conservation and research center,
dedicated to preserving endangered world wildlife. The land for this nine thousand
acre preserve was donated by AEP after it was reclaimed in the wake of coal mining.

Burr Oak State Park surrounds Burr Oak Lake, a seven-mile lake with a lodge, cabins,
swimming, fishing, hiking, camping and horseback riding.
Wolf Creek Wildlife Area is a designated public hunting and fishing area southwest
of McConnelsville, OH. This is one of only three areas in Ohio where primitive weapons
hunting is permitted (last week in October).
For 1200 miles, the Buckeye
Trail winds around Ohio, reaching into every corner of the state. From a beachhead
on Lake Erie near Cleveland, to a hilltop overlooking the Ohio River in Cincinnati,
